Sue North MBE
Sue North has been the Deputy Director for children and young people at NHS England for the last six years. Prior to this she worked as the National Director for Parent Carer Participation supporting the work of parent carer forums and development of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums.
A registered social worker, Sue began her career working in child protection teams and across local authorities and the voluntary sector in a range of practitioner and senior management roles. With experience working with children with life limiting and life threatening conditions and hospice care work, managing residential care provision, Children’s Centres and social work teams and services, Sue’s career has focused on working to improve services and support and to promote better life outcomes for disabled children, young people, adults and their families.
Born with arthrogryposis, Sue is also a wheelchair user.
