Shajeda Ahmed is described by her peers and team as a progressive and innovative leader who has extensive leadership experience spanning over 20 years in both public and private sectors. Shajeda joined the Black Country Integrated Care System as the Chief People Officer having held previous Executive leadership level roles with a responsibility for People, OD, and Inclusion . Under Shajeda’s direction her teams have been recognised nationally for innovation within the field of OD and Inclusion which resulted in being shortlisted and winning awards. Shajeda’s drive and commitment for the people profession and improving staff experience is a testament to her natural ability to embed compassionate and inclusive workplace cultures wherever she has worked.
As a visionary leader who is a strong advocate for cultural transformation and inclusivity, Shajeda is leading the people plan for the Black Country Integrated Care System in achieving the ambition to make the Black Country the best place to work.
Shajeda has a particular passion and insight to share on the subject of inclusion and health and wellbeing; A diverse, engaged and supported workforce leads to better decision-making and increased innovation which enables all of us to improve the care we provide to our community. This has been informed by her belief that everyone should have the same opportunities and be treated fairly and equally, recognising and accepting difference as a dynamic to be celebrated and a skill to be harnessed, something to be proud of.
