Nigel Minns is the Executive Director for Children and Young People in Warwickshire. Between 2017 and 2023, he was also responsible for adults’ services and public health, and he was the County Council’s representative on the Integrated Care Board.
He was previously Head of Education and Learning in Warwickshire; having held a similar position in South Gloucestershire. He is a former primary school teacher; teacher trainer and local authority adviser and has represented national agencies in a number of roles. He has sat on various national Steering Groups and has spent time on secondment at the Department for Education on more than one occasion.
Nigel chairs the national ADCS Health, Care and Additional Needs Policy Committee.
In June 2022, Nigel was presented with the award of ‘Corporate Director of the Year’ at the prestigious MJ Awards.
