Head of Physiological Science Transformation, NHS England

Nathan is a passionate and experienced leader in the National Health Service (NHS) with over 27 years of working across various roles and programmes. He currently heads the Physiological Science Transformation programme, as part of the NHS England National Diagnostic Programme, where he oversees the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives that improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of NHS diagnostic services.

He has a strong background in specialised commissioning, policy, and programme management, with expert knowledge in quality improvement, service commissioning, and clinical value. He has led several national programmes that have improved outcomes and reduced costs for patients with complex and chronic conditions, such as frailty and cancer. He holds an MSc in Health Service Management from the University of Wales College of Medicine and is a Trustee of the National Charity Ataxia UK.
