Merope Mills is the mother of Martha Mills and has campaigned for the introduction of Martha's Rule. She's an executive editor at the Guardian where she currently edits the Saturday magazine. She was named Campaigner of the Year at the Women of the Year awards in 2023 and highlighted by The Independent as one of the most influential women in Britain in 2024
