Dr Maslah Amin

Associate Medical Director, GP and Senior Clinical Lecturer, NHS England

Maslah is focused on transforming the workforce to increase the skill-mix in population health and support front-line services to improve population health and health inequalities. He is passionate about the use of advanced data analytics in improving population health. He led the development of the first National Population Health Fellowship for the NHS and is driving changes in established programmes to support them in integrating more population health and data analytics.
For sustainability, Maslah is leading NHS England’s commitment to educate future clinicians about sustainability and the net zero target.
Maslah has held various leadership positions, nationally and locally, and in education and service. Early in his career he worked in hospitals in the Midlands, both as a doctor and a manager, through a specialised management programme for doctors, which led to an award in Leadership Masters by Distinction. He is an alumnus of the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellowship Scheme. He has a research degree and has presented and published widely.
