Mark is Chief Information Security Officer at Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), responsible for implementing and running the enterprise information security program across NHS Wales. This involves identifying, evaluating, mitigating and reporting on legal, regulatory, commercial, digital, data and technology risks in a cyber security context, while enabling and advancing business objectives
Mark recently joined DHCW from the private sector, and has over 30 years experience in the IT and security industry, holding ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) status for over 19 years. He founded network, cloud and cyber security specialists Capital Network Solutions (CNS) in 1996 and managed and developed it through to acquisition in 2021, providing complex security services to major customers in a wide variety of organisations, including NHS trusts and health boards across England and Wales.
