Director National NHS, Microsoft

Kate joined Microsoft in July 2019 and is the UK Director for National NHS at Microsoft.

In this role she heads up and leads the team responsible for working with The Department of Health and Social Services, NHS England and all NHS executive agencies and arm’s length bodies in England.

Kate is committed to breaking down barriers through technology, fostering better collaboration, enhancing productivity, and helping the NHS to innovate with technology. She also champions the digital literacy of NHS employees, recognizing its pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare.

Kate has a 20-yr history of working with UK public sector customers and she is particularly passionate and excited about the recent explosion in Generative AI and what this could mean for making a difference both for NHS employees but also in terms of improving clinical outcomes for patients.

Kate’s first language is Welsh and after a very early career and degree in classical music, she is now settled in South Oxfordshire with her husband and two teenage sons.
