Following an initial career in retail management, I returned to study and qualified as a psychodynamic therapist and supervisor 20 years ago. I am also an experienced accredited Mediator and group facilitator.

My current role has evolved following many years running (and in some cases establishing) Occupational Health, Wellbeing and Mediation services in the NHS, other public sector and external contract work. As well as these services, 5 years ago I also became responsible for workforce resourcing ( including recruitment, temporary staffing and voluntary services). In 2022, I was made the Trust SRO for the national NHS People Promise Exemplar programme.

I have previously been awarded the ' Chief Executive Award for Leadership' in our Trust. I strive to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership. I am passionate about taking a proactive and holistic approach to workforce issues, with good triage and diagnostics, to drive interventions and enable change. I am known for my tenacity to 'get things done' especially in relation to our key Trust people priority is that our colleagues are safe, supported and listened to.
