Jordelle Akinola
Jordelle is a Community Engagement Lead for the North London Mental Health Partnership. She has a strong background in patient experience and care delivery within the NHS and the local authority. Her role and passion centres upon addressing health inequalities for the service users and carers to improve support, early interventions, access, experiences and outcomes.
Jordelle is currently leading on the implementation of the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) for the Partnership and also on their newly launched Anti-Racism Strategy. A key component of Jordelle's work is collaborating with staff, service users, carers, members of the community and voluntary sector organisations. This is supported by analysing and interrogating data to progress advancing equity within mental health services, so that culturally appropriate care is a reality for individuals and mainstreamed standard for organisations.
