Jo McCallum
Jo began her career in the NHS as a Secretary back in 1997, and slowly worked her way up the career ladder to an Assistant Divisional Operational Manager. She then made the move to corporate services (Informatics) in 2008 before being appointed as Head of Performance at Newcastle Hospitals in 2013. She decided to pursue a career in Quality Improvement back in 2019.
Jo has an MSc in Health Information Management and is an IHI Improvement Advisor.
She has chaired the Shelford Directors of Improvement Network since April 2022 and is also an NHS Key Opinion Leader for Johnson & Johnson.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching and listening to true crime and at the grand old age of (xx)! she decided to learn how to ski. Jo loves spending time with her family which includes her boys; a French Bulldog (Gizmo) and Staffordshire bull terrier (Rocco).
