Ikhlaq Hussain
Ikhlaq Hussain is a joint West Birmingham Clinical Locality Lead for NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB. He is a practicing clinical pharmacist in Birmingham for the last 20 years. He has a postgraduate certificate in Diabetes Care, Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing. He has a master's qualification in Clinical Community Pharmacy. He has specialised in diabetes, substance misuse and minor ailment's clinic's in primary care. He has been a clinical director for a primary care network in West Birmingham. He is passionate about delivering patient focused primary care that is the foundation of the NHS and helped to break down the barriers between primary, secondary and community care. He has a keen interest in reducing health inequalities and has contributed towards making a change to improve outcomes for the local population.
