Gary Sainty
In my role as Head of VCSE for the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership I work to connect the VCSE sector with health and care. Maximising the contribution it makes and connecting it to all aspects of the Partnership's work. We do this through our VCSE Collaborative which forms part of the Partnership's make up enabling us to connect within the system but also connect to the VCSE sector through place organisations.
Prior to coming into the NHS 3 years ago, I spent most of my career in the VCSE sector working for an organisation aiming to increase the number of people leading a physically active life and ensuring that physical activity was a key part in the plans to improve the health and wellbeing of our population.
In my spare time, I am still working with the VCSE sector and Chair the Hull Kingston Rovers Foundation which is a charity connected to the club and delivers for its community.
