Dr Gareth Stuttard is a GP partner in Birmingham and National Clinical Lead for Urgent and Emergency Care for NHSE. He has had a long involvement with Urgent Care. Before becoming National Lead he was CCG advisor for 999/111 then progressing to West Midlands Commissioning Clinical Lead overseeing the procurement and implementation of contracts for integrated 111/IUC and 999 services across 22 CCGs.

Dr Stuttard is passionate about the appropriate use of out of hospital clinical pathways to avoid unnecessary use of Emergency Departments. Current areas of focus include 111/IUC, Urgent Treatment Centres, front door Streaming and Redirection, CPCS/Pharmacy First and Integrated Care Coordination.
