Elizabeth leads NHS England Central Policy Group, which supports the development and coordination of policy activity across the organisation. She has held various senior positions in NHS England and NHS Improvement over the last seven years. In her previous role as Director of System Strategy and Partnerships, Elizabeth led the development of the NHS policy framework for Integrated Care Systems. Before joining NHS England Elizabeth worked in national health sector membership bodies including the NHS Confederation and Pharmacy Voice, and as a Senior Fellow at the University of Birmingham's Health Services Management Centre where she created and co-directed the UK’s first MSc programme in public service commissioning. Elizabeth first joined the NHS as a general management trainee and worked in health improvement, primary care development and commissioning roles in before moving into national policy.
