Eileen Kaner
Eileen Kaner is an applied behavioural scientist and Professor of Public Health and Primary Care Research at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Her research aims to improve health and well-being via evidence-based interventions to reduce risk due to health behaviours and linked mental health problems across the life-course. To date, she has published 412 papers and won £123 million in research awards. She holds a number of leadership roles, including being Director of an NIHR-funded Applied Research Collaboration and a non-Executive Director of an Integrated Care Board, both covering the North East and North Cumbria. She is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, an Honorary Member of the Faculty of Public Health and an NIHR Senior Investigator.
