Duncan Tree

Director of Strategy & Relationships, Association of Mental health Providers

Duncan has more than 30 years experience in both the public and voluntary and community sectors, at national and local levels. He has worked for East and West Sussex County Councils' Social Services, the Local Government Association, the Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government and the charity formerly known as Community Service Volunteers, Volunteering Matters.

He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of social policy, a track record of influencing change and in leading work concerned with addressing inequalities and promoting social inclusion.

Duncan was born in East Sussex and has lived in Brighton for most of his life. He has considerable personal understanding of the importance of quality, personalised health and care services and is a trustee of Seaview, the St Leonards-on-Sea open access wellbeing centre.

Duncan was awarded an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2017 for services to social care and is a fellow of the RSA.
