Originally a nurse, David has held NHS leadership positions within hospitals, community, primary care and commissioning organisations. He has been a Chair and CEO of several primary care alliances, a past CCG Manager of the Year and he has led multiple service reviews, including as Programme Director of the NHS 111 prototype.

David works part time as Director of Transformation at Well Up North Primary Care Network, covering north Northumberland and its 65,000 patients. There he leads transformation work with particular focus on Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and the use of digital tech to bring care closer to home. He is an elected member of the NENC ICB Primary Care Collaborative and a member of several national bodies eg the NHS Confed Digital and Data Group and the NAPC Integrated Neighbourhood Team learning set.

David has had 30 years experience of UK market access having held leadership roles in major pharma and medtech companies. He has provided consultancy advice to almost 300 companies and is an in-demand speaker, event chair, facilitator, author, advisor and analyst.
