As Strategic Lead for Keyworking across Lancashire and South Cumbria Colette is determined to work towards a fully inclusive society where all disabled children and young people and their families feel their voice is heard and that they are at the heart of a person centred, coordinated, needs led package of support.

Colette has over 40 year experience within the SEND Sector starting working life as a Teacher of the Deaf to Head of Service Level, strategically heading up and managing and leading both mainstream and specialist services. In her time Colette has also worked as part of core teams on several national government programmes supporting implementation of new legislation and supporting thinking around systematic change. As part of this activity Colette has been a strong advocate and implementer of keyworking for over 12 years.

Colette is proud to have been part of the support in relation to keyworking. She feels it is a privilege to be part of the work with children, young people and their family and the practitioners wrapped around them in getting a meaningful package of support in place.
