Anita is Head of Education in Training, Development and Workforce at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHSFT). She has been a senior manager in education at the Trust for over 30 years.
She has worked for the NHS for 40 years, originally training and working as an ODP(Operating Department Practitioner) in a number of hospitals. At UHSFT she helped lead the establishment of a successful in-house NVQ/apprenticeship centre and leading on widening participation as well as other education activity. She is enthusiastic about ensuring support staff in all roles have access to career opportunities and has worked throughout her career to create pathways for them to develop.
She is a Route Panel member of the Health and Science Route with the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE).
