It has been brought to our attention that companies are targeting our exhibitors and large-scale events and conferences claiming to be, or work with, our organisation. These companies may even use the NHS ConfedExpo event branding to appear genuine.

Please beware of companies who may contact you offering to sell an event attendee list, as they are highly unlikely to have the rights or accurate information to make these lists available.

Our event attendee list is confidential and is not sold to third parties. But we may share your information with third parties where we have a legal duty to do so or to provide you with a service you have asked for. For more information available in our event terms and conditions.

It is therefore extremely important that you remain vigilant when signing documents seemingly related to the events, and if you are in any doubt surrounding the authenticity of communication received, please contact a member of the NHS ConfedExpo team directly.

The Association of Event Organisers Ltd (AEO) advises exhibitors who fall victim to this scam to do the following:

  • Our advice is to IGNORE THEM COMPLETELY, and not communicate with them in any way. Writing letters simply confirms that you exist and are available at the address/email address/number they have for you, and therefore payment can be pursued.

  • Report it to your local trading standards

  • DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE SCAMMERS even when they threaten legal action

If you believe you have been subject to any suspicious communications, please forward the details to a member of the NHS ConfedExpo team.
