Why labels matter

12 Jun 2024
Charter 5
Best Practice Theatre , Health inequalities improvement

This session will look at the unnecessary variation in medicine labelling and the resultant risk of medication errors. It will consider how innovation in medicine label translation and participation by patients and unpaid carers is helping pharmacists to communicate with ethnically diverse communities and those with different needs, by translating medicine labels into several languages and pictograms. Increased patient understanding empowers patients to stay well, reduces medicine wastage and saves money.
