The session will outline the NHS Race and Health Observatory’s Learning and Action Network, a 15-month peer-to-peer project which began in January 2024 to address the stark disparities in maternal, perinatal and neonatal health outcomes for women from black, Asian and ethnic minority groups. The session will provide an overview of the programme, which is based on an anti-racism improvement approach.

The project has been developed in partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and supported by the Health Foundation. The session will provide an update for NHS leaders on the project and actions underway to improve outcomes.
