How does research ensure the NHS can provide better health and care services?

Research is a key driver of improvements to health outcomes and patient and staff experiences, informing organisational processes and performance for providers and commissioners. In this session we will provide an overview of the national policy and strategy context for England’s health and care research sector, and NHS England’s programmes to increase the scale, pace and diversity of research. Examples will be provided of how to navigate systems for non-commercial and commercial research for the benefit of patients, staff and organisations.
