This session will explore the range of contributions required to effectively tackle inequality within our healthcare services, for both patients and the workforce. It will explore:
• the wider social determinants of ill-health
• the importance of building trust and relationships with diverse communities
• putting lived experience at the forefront of decision-making
• the vital role of system working
• the importance of staff engagement and leadership at all levels.
Attendees will hear about successful early implementation of the NHS equality, diversity, and inclusion improvement plan and examples of innovative partnerships between healthcare providers and the voluntary community and social enterprise sector.
