13 Jun 2024
Charter 8
Best Practice Theatre , Quality, transformation and innovation

With thousands of patients now benefiting from the faster and more accurate diagnoses and more targeted treatments genomic testing provides, this session will set out our progress so far in bringing the power of genomics into routine NHS care. We will explore the opportunities and challenges as we look to implement new innovative and integral genetic pathways for patients and showcase how genomics is transforming the care of people with cancer, rare diseases and more common conditions. We will also explore how we are building a genomic workforce for the future, boosting knowledge of genomics for all healthcare staff and are sowing the seeds of research for future service development.
