Clinical leadership for community empowerment: improving access, experience and outcomes

13 Jun 2024
Exchange hall
Health inequalities improvement , Main stage - panel

An ongoing challenge for health and social care is delivering improvement on health inequality. Clinically initiated pathways that are simple, robust and supported by accessible community-based support for all can empower people to adopt a more active and socially engaged lifestyle. Tackling health inequality therefore relies on building effective partnerships between patients, their families, communities, clinicians and providers. How can clinicians use their leadership to meet this challenge and make a difference? This session will explore the link between community empowerment and effective clinical leadership at all levels.
