Celebrating the North West’s progress towards eliminating cervical cancer

13 Jun 2024
Charter 6
Best Practice Theatre , Health inequalities improvement , Supporter session

In light of NHS England’s commitment to eliminate cervical cancer by 2040, this session will create momentum by examining areas that have achieved the World Health Organization’s two preventative targets of 90 per cent of girls vaccinated against HPV and 70 per cent of women screened for cervical cancer.

Local public health leaders will share the factors behind success to date, as well as lessons learned and, together with system leaders, discuss how remaining inequalities and barriers can be tackled to make elimination a reality for every community.
