Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer - Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust, Executive Director of Strategy, Transformation and Digital - Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

Zeph is the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust and the Executive Director of Strategy, Transformation and Digital at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. He is passionate about making a difference to patients and their families through better healthcare delivery and the involvement of patients and families in their care and the development of services. He leads on strategy development, transformation, quality improvement (QI), and digital services across both trusts.

Zeph is the Senior Responsible Officer for the Nova Electronic Patient Record programme, which will introduce a single electronic patient record across mental health, community, and acute services at EPUT and MSEFT. This innovative programme aims to unify patient records across hospitals, mental health, and community services, providing real-time access to comprehensive health data and improving patient care in a first-of-type deployment for the NHS in England.

Zeph has been an executive director at EPUT since April 2022 and has held his joint role across EPUT and MSEFT since September 2024. He has a wide range of experience from senior roles in the NHS at trust, regional, and national levels, including strategy and policy development, strategic finance, transformation and change management, digital, data, analytics, and business intelligence. He is a trustee of the suicide prevention charity, Olly’s Future, and an independent member of the audit and risk committee at the University of Suffolk. He holds degrees from Oxford University and the London School of Economics and is a CFA® Charterholder.
