Dr Toli Onon
Joint Chief Medical Officer,
Manchester University NHS FT
Toli has been Joint Chief Medical Officer and Responsible Officer at Manchester University FT since 2017. She was appointed as Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS FT in 2003 and became that organisation’s last Medical Director before its merger with Central Manchester NHS FT. During her clinical training she undertook research in cancer immunology at the Paterson Institute, Manchester. She continues to enjoy combining her medical leadership responsibilities with clinical work as a Gynaecologist at Saint Mary’s Hospital. Later this year, Toli will be stepping down from her CMO role to take up the role of Chief Inspector of Hospitals at the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
