Dr Thomas Brown
Dr Thomas Brown is a Consultant Respiratory Physician and Deputy Director of Research at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust where he leads the Portsmouth Severe Asthma Centre and the Respiratory Research Department. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and holds an Honorary Readership at the University of Portsmouth with research interests including novel diagnostics and phenotyping in asthma. His PhD in asthma described the Wessex Severe Asthma Cohort which is one of the largest highly characterised severe asthma cohorts in Europe. He is the joint national clinical champion for NHS England’s Accelerated Access Collaborative for FeNO, leads the CRN Wessex Research Fellow Programme and is joint deputy Training Programme Director for Respiratory Medicine in Wessex.
