Dr Thilan Bartholomeuz

GP and Clinical Director, Mid-Nottinghamshire Place Based Partnership

Dr. Bartholomeuz is an experienced GP Principal with a dynamic portfolio career spanning clinical leadership, service transformation, and medical education. With a passion for improving healthcare delivery, Dr. Bartholomeuz currently serves as Clinical Director for the Mid Nottinghamshire Place-Based Partnership (PBP), in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB.

A key area of expertise lies in cancer services and pathway development. As Clinical Lead for Cancer on the Nottingham & Nottinghamshire ICB Planned Care Board and Clinical Director for the ICB’s Lung Cancer Screening Programme, Dr. Bartholomeuz has contributed to significant advancements in cancer care. Their leadership has been instrumental in initiatives such as the Vague Symptoms Pathway, the implementation of NICE NG12 guidance direct access diagnostic pathways locally, and the rollout of Targeted Lung Health Checks now Lung Cancer Screening. They have also been involved in the East Midlands Breast Pain Pathway Implementation Team and previously served as Chair of the Nottinghamshire & Nottingham City ICS Cancer Board.

Beyond cancer care, has a strong interest in training and education and is a GP Trainer for the Sherwood Forest GP Specialist Training Programme and an Executive Board member at the Nottinghamshire Alliance Training Hub.

He is also the Vice Chair of Nottinghamshire County Council Health and Wellbeing Board.

Dr. Bartholomeuz previously held the role of Clinical Chair of NHS Newark & Sherwood CCG (2016-2020).
