Sue joined the NHS in August 2007 as Head of Communications and Marketing for Staffordshire Primary Care Trust and has a wealth of patient engagement and experiences in a service user environment. She has also worked in a range of senior management roles in education, learning and leisure sectors within the 3rd, public and private sectors.
During her time at the Clinical Commissioning Groups and the Integrated Care Board in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland as Head of Engagement and Insights, Sue has designed and deliver two large scale consultations to improve access to both acute and mental health services.
Sue has also been instrumental in the development of the local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Alliance, supporting hyperlocal work to improve the take up of the Covid-19 vaccination programme and improving access to primary care.
With a track record of innovation, collaboration and partnership working across patients and the public, Sue is passionate about ensuring that patients are at the heart of the NHS and they play a central role in improving equitably the health and wellbeing of the local population.
