I am a pharmacist with 16 years’ experience working across various sectors of the pharmacy career and am also a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
I completed my pre-registration training year and first post after registration in hospital pharmacy. Following I have worked in a variety of roles, developing experience in community pharmacy, clinical support in the pharmaceutical industry and considerable experience in primary care. I previously led the medicines optimisation service for a large CCG in the North West. I have also undertaken a number of professional and committee roles. This includes working as a an executive member of a pharmacists’ trade union and as a trustee / non-executive director for the Pharmacist Support charity. I have also worked with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and NICE to produce to produce national guidance.
I came to NHS England and Improvement in 2016 as the Senior Primary Care Manager for Greater Manchester, responsible for Community Pharmacy and Optometry services. I have also worked as a Senior Policy Lead in the National Community Pharmacy Team. My current role as the Senior Regional Pharmacy Integration Lead for the North West. This involves me leading the integration of pharmacy services within the Integrated Care Systems across the region, acting as a pharmacy leader, supporting system leadership and co-ordination to ensure the value of pharmacy is recognised.
I am passionate about pharmacy service, ensuring high quality patient care and demonstrating the value we bring to patients and to the NHS.
