Shane joined Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) Integrated Care Board as Chief Executive in February 2022. Prior to that he was the Chief Executive of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. The Southern Trust is a large integrated health and social care Trust providing the complete range of health and care services to the local population. Shane was also previously the Chief Executive of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and has held a number of senior executive positions throughout the NHS in Northern Ireland.
Shane’s interests and experiences include delivering integrated services, digital transformation, shared services, population health improvement with a particular focus on children and young people. Shane has recently moved to Bristol from Northern Ireland and is keen to share experiences from his integrated background and to learn more about the challenges and opportunities of the ICS model.
