Dr Sarb Clare MBE
Dr Sarb Clare MBE is an Acute Medical Consultant at SWBH NHS Trust. As Deputy Medical Director, she clinically led the Hospital move to the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. She led on the successful physical move, patient census, 7 day working, in situ Simulation just to name a few transformative projects to enable a safe move.
She is an international pioneer in Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS). She teaches extensively and released her first medical book “Ultrasound For the Generalist” in 2021. She has taken POCUS out into the community with her Hospital At Home project (EPICENTRE).
She leads a Women Empowering Women movement within medicine. She has a TEDx talk and podcast.
In 2024 she became the first female President of the West Midlands Physicians Association since inception in 1950.
In 2020 she was awarded an MBE Queens Honor for her service to the NHS and her leadership during the pandemic.
