Sarah Walter is director of the NHS Confederation’s ICS Network, having led the creation of the Network in 2021. The ICS Network is the representative body for 100% of ICSs, working with both NHS and local government leaders along with wider system partners. Sarah works on behalf of members to influence national policy and provide opportunities for peer learning and improvement.
Sarah has operated in a number of roles at the Confed, and has a background in health policy She is passionate about women’s leadership and was previously Chair of the Confed’s Health and Care Women’s Leaders Network.
Sarah has an Executive MBA from the University of Bath and lives in Devon with her husband, two kids and boston terrier.
