Head of Research Delivery : The National Institute of Health and Care (NIHR) Research Clinical Research Network (CRN)

Sarah is the Head of Research Delivery for the NIHR CRN. She provides strategic oversight and leadership of the delivery, implementation, and ongoing improvement of the NIHR CRN business processes and initiatives to support effective performance of the NIHR CRN Portfolio of Research Studies.

Sarah qualified as a nurse and midwife before following a career in clinical research, with over two decades of experience in Clinical Research delivery in multi-Health Care settings across the NHS, academia and Industry. She holds a MSc in Research Methodology and a PhD in Health Sciences from University of York, which examined clinical staff’s attitudes towards participation in clinical trials.

The cornerstone of Sarah’s career is her enthusiasm about the development of practices and treatments to enhance patient care. As a passionate advocate for clinical research is determined to showcase its importance to all aspects of our lives.
