Dr Safia Ahmed

Safia is a Specialty Registrar in Public Health based in the East Midlands and an Honorary Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham. The core remit of Safia’s work lies in recognising and addressing the social determinants of health. Recently Safia has been leading service improvement of weight management pathways at system level, using an integrated working approach to improve healthcare-related outcomes for the Derby/Derbyshire population. Her knowledge and insights are underpinned by an MBChB from the University of Sheffield, an MPH at the University of Nottingham and from being a member of the professional body, the Faculty of Public Health.
