Richard Owen

Deputy Director, Children and Young People’s Transformation Programme, NHS England

Richard is Deputy Director for Children and Young People in NHS England. His team leads the delivery of commitments for Children and Young People in the NHS Long Term Plan. This includes engaging widely across the NHS and with a range of young people.
He has worked at NHS England since 2013, having worked in senior roles on quality and personalised care. Prior to that, he held policy roles in the Department of Health, working on the establishment of Quality Accounts, Monitor and the Care Quality Commission.
Richard lives in Hertfordshire and has wife and two young children, Harry and Daisy.
