Professor Mike Holmes
Mike been a GP Partner for over 20 years and works in a large practice caring for almost 100,000 patients across York, Hull and Scarborough. He is committed to collaborative working, system leadership and addressing health inequalities.
He chairs a GP Provider Organisation in York, bringing together all practices in the city of York caring for a population of 250,000 people and delivering services at scale in conjunction with all practices and all PCNs on a place-based footprint.
Mike is currently the Chair of the Trustee Board at the RCGP and has previously served as a Vice Chair (Membership and International) at the RCGP (2018-21). He is an Honorary Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York, a Trustee at St Leonard’s Hospice in York and is Chair of the Faculty of Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Physician Associates in the North Yorkshire and Humber ICS.
