Dr Michael Crooks
Dr Michael Crooks is a Senior Clinical Lecturer and Consultant Respiratory Physician working at Hull York Medical School, University of Hull and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He is Clinical Lead for the Humber Coast and Vale Respiratory Network and chairs the Hull and East Yorkshire Respiratory Education Group. He leads the Hull and East Yorkshire Integrated COPD Service and is a member of the local airways service. He undertakes research relating to the diagnosis and management of airways diseases, such as asthma and COPD, and their exacerbations, as well as undertaking research related to breathlessness and tobacco cessation. Additionally, since the emergence of COVID-19, Dr Crooks has worked collaboratively to improve our understanding about both the acute and long-term effects of COVID-19 and its treatment.
