Louise Carrington
Louise is the Head of Mental Health Support at Mental Health Matters (MHM). She oversees the operational delivery of MHM’s community mental health support services, leading a team of six Area Managers and the National Helpline Manager.
Louise has worked in the health and social care sector for over 25 years in commissioning and operational roles. She is a longstanding advocate of placing people who access services at the centre of decisions about their lives and the services they choose to access.
“It has never been more important for the voluntary sector to be clear about the impact it can make in response to the current challenges in health and social care. The challenges of affordability and increasing demands often overwhelm mental health and urgent and emergency care systems. There is a role for us to support solutions, to be brave and bold in conversations with decision-makers, to support system-wide approaches to risk, and to amplify the voices of people who access services.”
