Deputy Director of People, Culture, Learning and Improvement, North East and North Cumbria ICB

Kathryn is a senior NHS leader with a national reputation for delivering large-scale change across complex health and care systems. With over 30 years of experience spanning organisational development, improvement, and workforce transformation, Kathryn brings expertise in mobilising collective action to tackle cross-cutting challenges.

She currently leads Learning, Improvement and Culture for the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Partnership, where she has driven region-wide initiatives to support system improvement, including the establishment of Boost – a thriving learning and improvement community of over 14,500 members from across the health and care landscape.

Kathryn’s work is characterised by a commitment to inclusive, purpose-led change, with a focus on building cultures that enable innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

As a speaker and facilitator, Kathryn brings clarity, insight, and inspiration to discussions on leadership, culture, and the role of large-scale improvement in delivering reforms through integrated working.
