John has worked in a number of senior provider and commissioner NHS roles since joining the service in 1997. These have included Health Authority finance , PCT commissioning as well as Cardiac and Cancer Network Director roles. In acute care John led finance and performance teams in Torbay and South Devon integrated care Trust before leading the operational team as COO. More recently he has led the Peninsula Imaging Network (PenRAD) and provided leadership support to the Peninsula Pathology Network alongside this supporting the UHP input to the Peninsula Acute Provider Collaborative. John's drive comes from a desire to ensure equitable access across health and care services and that services are delivered with patient experience, access and outcomes at the forefront of our decision making, of course alongside the essential requirement for services to be financially sustainable. Respecting the importance of good working relationships which support constructive challenge to deliver improvements.
