Dr Jeanette Dickson
Jeanette Dickson was elected as Chair of Council of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC) from July 2023. She remains an practicing consultant clinical oncologist. She spent 5 years as clinical director of MVCC. Jeanette has a strong interest in postgraduate education, holding roles as clinical tutor, training programme director and Head of School. She remains an active GMC accredited clinical and educational supervisor as well as being a trained consultant appraiser.
Jeanette first became involved with the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) in 2010 and in 2013, she joined the officer team as Medical Director for Professional Practice, Clinical Oncology, then Vice President, Clinical Oncology in 2016 and served as President from 2019 - 2022. Between July 2020 and August 2022, she was Vice Chair of AoMRC with responsibility for the educational portfolio.
Jeanette was part of the workforce enabling group of the 10 year plan. She sits on the external stakeholder advisory group of the Leng Review of PA and AAs. She was invited in a personal capacity to sit on the UK Pharmacy Professional Leadership Board (UKPPLB) and on the review board of the National School of Health Care Sciences (NSHCS) and Genomics Education Programme (GEP).
