Ilias is the Director of Discovery at UCLPartners, responsible for supporting the translation, adoption and spread of early innovation pipeline into the health and case system. He works closely with clinical partners, academic researchers and industry to co-create problem statements to focus resources and efforts to meet the needs of local population. He works closely with the UCLPartners' Evaluation and Insight team, to inform the development of pragmatic and innovative evaluation plans on promising technological solutions and models of care to ensure realisation of expected outcomes and have a positive impact on people's lives and the system.
Ilias has more than 10 years' experience in supporting early innovation development and translation and has lead on regional and national collaborative projects between industry and academia in medtech, digital health, and cell and gene therapies. He has also been part of international delegations and trade missions to promote UK’s life sciences capabilities and generate inward investment opportunities.
