George Ampat
Mr. Ampat works as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Liverpool University Hospitals Foundation Trust and as a Clinical Teacher at the School of Medicine, University of Liverpool. Mr. Ampat is the lead for the Musculoskeletal Special Interest Group of the College of Medicine and the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine. Though a surgeon by training and practice, Mr Ampat now specialises in treating people with pain in neck, back, hip, knee feet and other musculoskeletal problems without surgical intervention and with lifestyle modification.
He has developed the Free From Pain programme for older adults, designed to improve balance and reduce musculoskeletal pain through the integration of the Otago Exercise Programme and targeted lifestyle modifications. He also created the ARISE programme, which combines neuromuscular exercises with motivational and educational support to empower patients with hip and knee arthritis.
