Felicity Cox
Felicity was appointed Chief Executive Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Integrated Care Board in X. BLMK is a forward thinking and ambitious ICS. Despite a population growing more than twice as fast as the national average, BLMK currently has the lowest non-elective activity growth in the East of England. BLMK’s recent achievements include reducing emergency admissions for falls by 20% over the last three years, a global-partnership with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement to tackle hypertension in the community, and dynamic place-based initiatives bringing neighbourhood working to life, including the Bletchley Pathfinder in Milton Keynes. BLMK ICS has two missions: increasing healthy life expectancy and reducing the gap between the healthiest and least healthy in our community, with the latter inspired by the extensive, community-led Denny Review of Health Inequalities.
Felicity has chaired the East of England Joint Specialised Commissioning Consortia since 2023. NHSE delegated responsibility for Specialised Services in the East of England to BLMK in April 2024.
Felicity is a qualified pharmacist and maintains her clinical roots through her continuing professional development. Previously she was the Director of Quality, Transformation and Delivery in the National Specialised Commissioning Team of NHS England and NHS Improvement. She has held senior leadership positions in the NHS over many years, including other CEO roles.
