Clara is Associate Director of Research at NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB. She provides strategic leadership to drive and embed a culture of research, innovation and continuous improvement across the Integrated Care System.
She leads a team who focus on supporting research design, development and core R&D functions for primary and community care, with the ICB hosting 11 NIHR grants totalling £17million. The team also includes the Evidence and Evaluation Hub, hosts the ICS Quality Faculty and is the first ICB to be part of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme Innovation Sites projects, working with Health Innovation East. Clara also co-chairs the NHS R&D Forum ICB Research Leads Working Group.
Clara has worked in NHS R&D for 10 years and prior to that carried out post-doctoral research into chronic inflammatory disease at the University of Birmingham.
